"Medicine is the manual for body and mind"
Traditional Chinese Medicine
-exercise therapy, physio therapy and healing.
What is Chinese Medicine?
The Chinese methods of medicine belong to the oldest living medical traditions
in the world and are internationaly recognised as of importance for the future
development of a mondial medicine system. The United Nations and many other organisations
recognise the importance of effectiveness and the low treatment costs that are
attached to Chinese Medicine.
Chinese Medical methodology bases itself on the priciple and idea of Qi (read
chee) manipulation. Qi is seen as a universal substance that ought to be basic
in the formation of the world such as we know it. Qi is being translated both
with 'information' and 'functional activity'. Chinese Medicine sees disease as
a form of confusion; either of the body, the mind, or both. Chinese Medicine
combines traditionally several techniques to bring recovery of health. It is
a wholistic and natural way of healing and curing, that helps you to live more
vital and more happy by seeing recovery as a learning process.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture makes corrections in streams of force in your body through using
small neadles as a lever. Through strategic needling 0.3 mm needles throught
the skin into the deeper tissues and bloodflow mental and bodily processes can
be directed. Like other systems of Chinese medicine it stimulates the self restoring
powers of your body. There are many diseases in which acupuncture is effective.
Ask for information if your problem can also be resolved with acupuncture. (see
list below for examples).
Herbs and Minerals
Herbs and minerals are food supplements that sopport the body in the healing
proces. they are mostly ingested as a thea or pill. As a thea they are most effective.
but mostly not very tastfull. as a supportive therapy they are mostly used in
chronic disease caused by deficiency.
Tui Na Massage
Chinese massage stimulates a.o. the circulation of blood, motility of your joints
and also the self regenerating potency of your body. Massage can be used to vitalise,
but also to relax. Massage is often used as a supportive technique, but it can
be the ultimate solution of specific problems, like blocking of Qi in the Channels.
Qigong therapy
Qigong is
the secret heart of Chinese Medicine. Without experiental practice of the therapist
with Qigong exercise is often only half as effective and mostly symptomatic.
Qigong as a therapy can be self exercise, group practice or energetic influencing
og mind or body by the therapist. Qigong as a healing technique works with the
energies of the organs, aura, chakras, Qi and blood channels, mechanisms of emotions
and thinking. Qigong is currently the medicinal system with the most posibillities
for healing, curing and self development.
Diagnosis
Chinese diagnosis uses mainly puls and tong diagnosis next to scanning methods
to perceive directly into the body what is the matter. René Goris is internationally
renowned as a specialist in these traditional diagnostic.
("Chinese Medicine is in the YYC practiced by René Goris, who is autor
of a book on Qigong and is headmaster from the International Qigong Academy (Oriental
College for
Qigong Studies). As a therapist and teacher he is often asked as a speaker
at congresses and other occasions in Europe and the U.S.")
