What is Massage?
Massage is the manual stimulation of the body for healing,
curing, revalidating and relaxing purposes. Many techniques
have been developed since prehistoric times. Some are good
and others less so. Generally massage skills are devided
into two groups:
Contact
Massage
No-Contact
Massage
Contact Massage consists from techniques that stimulate or calm the body through
physical contact. This can be through squeezing, pulling, pushing, rubbing, hitting,
knocking etc.
No-Contact Massage consists of techniques for stimulating and calming of bodily
and energetic structures through Bio-magnetic resonance.
In the Yin Yang Center we use both and we instruct people as well through our
educational programs in these methods. See for this also our web pages on Qigong and Therapies.
